Default 3-Man Rotscale

Ok this is a guide on how to 3 man Rotscale and his buddies. At the end, the Necrid Horseman still might be alive, but Rotscale will be dead :-) Ok so you will be using 2 monks and a ranger for the farm. Monk #1 will be the tank, Monk #2 will be the smiter, and the Ranger will be the spirit/runnrer dude.

Monk #1
Mo/N
Equipment
You will want a Kepkhet's Refuge as the weapon.
Your armor should be something with 15 Armor Level. Armor from Piken Square or Shing Jea Monastery works great. Use a Protection Prayers Scalp design and ONLY MINOR RUNES. Vigor runes are an exception though. More health is better with this build.

Attributes

12+1+1(14) Protection Prayers
12+1 Divine Favor
3 Blood Magic

1. Spirit Bond
2. Protective Spirit
3. Blessed Signet
4. Grenth's Balance
5. Blessed Aura
6. Essence Bond
7. Balthazar's Spirit
8. Demonic Flesh

Monk #2
Mo/
Equipment
An Insightful Smiting Staff of Enchanting will work for your weapon.
You will want any kind of maxed Armor Level armor. Use a Smiting Prayers Scalp Design, with a Sup. Smiting Prayers rune. You will also want a Major Protection Prayers rune on one of your pieces, and also a Vigor rune too.
Attributes

12+3+1(16) Smiting Prayers
12+2(14) Protection Prayers

1. Holy Wrath
2. Retribution
3. Life Attunement
4. Vital Blessing
5. Blessed Signet
6. Shield of Judgement
7. Rebirth
8. Free Slot

The Ranger
R/Mo
Equipment
Weapon doesn't really matter. You won't be doing anything with it. Druid's armor or Drakescale armor would probably be best. Have a Beast Mastery headpiece with a Sup. Beast Mastery rune, and a minor Wilderness Survival rune on another piece. Vigor runes are almost always good.
Attributes

12+3+1(16) Beast Mastery
12+1(13) Wilderness Survival

1. Symbiosis
2. Edge of Extinction
3. Run As One
4. Storm Chaser
5. Troll Unguent
6. Rebirth

Ok now that we have that done, lets get to the guide part.
The Ranger runs you to Majesty's Rest. Once you get to Majesty's Rest, Monk #2 is going to put Vital Blessing on everyone so you can all run past the first group. Ok so once everyone is up last the first group that pops up, and doesn't have aggro, Monk #2 is going to take Vital Blessing off of everyone but Monk #1. Monk #2 is going to cast his enchants on Monk #1, and Monk #1 is going to cast his enchants on himself. Once Monk #2 has enough energy, he casts Shield of Judgement on Monk #1, and Monk #1 runs into all the Wraiths and spams Protective Spirit and Spirit bond, because Divine Favor will be his only source of healing right now.
Once the wraiths are dead, everyone moves up onto the bridge. Monk #1 runs just into aggro range of the Rotting Dragons and Rotscale. As Monk #1 is running in, the Ranger should be putting down Edge of Extinction. All of the Rotting Dragons and undead should die off pretty quickly. Once it is Monk #1 and the Rotting Dragon 1v1, the Ranger puts down Symbiosis. This should make Monk #1's health go up somewhere in the 2,000 range.
Now for the fun part. The Ranger just keeps Symbiosis up all the time, and Monk #2 just sits there. Monk #1 won't be getting healed from Spirit Bond now, but it does make it easier for Monk #1 to get his health lower. Once Monk #1 is at about 1,000 Health, he uses Demonic Flesh to sacrifice some health, and boost his. At about 200-400 health, Monk #1 uses Grenth's Balance on Rotscale to do ALOT of damage, and get a full heal.
Repeat the above process until Rotscale is at about 1/5 health. From here on, Monk #1 will have to back up so Rotscale is only attacking with his ranged attack and no spells. You need to be patient for this part, as it does take awhile. From this point on the Ranger won't put Symbiosis back up. Once Symbiosis dies, Monk #1 will probably die too. Have Monk #2 rebirth Monk #1, and re-enchant Monk #1 fully. Monk #1 will then run in and aggro Rotscale again, so he is just using his ranged attack. Now that Monk #1 is getting healed from Rotscale's attacks, all is well, and Rotscale will eventually die.

I would like to thank the two people who made up the dual SB Underworld build for giving me this idea, and whoever found out that Spirit Bond and Protective Spirit worked out so well together.

HAVE FUN KILLING ROTSCALE.

It worked very well actually, but now my friend and I can duo Rotscale. Yes sorry I didn't put your guys' names, I didn't want to open up another Internet Explorer browser while a virus scan was going.

Very nice build Ecks, this is slightly different then the build I was planning to use, and I imagine it is much faster with the symbiosis and grenths added in. Now to get my pvp guildies to get involved lol.

Default Question

If I only have my bm at 15, will that make a big difference? I see that Symbiosis only will give +150 health at a 15 bm level. Does a 16 bm level make a big difference?

no, 1 point in BM won't make that much of a difference. 16 BM is just for more from Grenth's Balance.

This sounds an awful lot like the three man urgoz build. It's an awesume build though, i bet it wuold be effective. I've always thought of using Grenth's Balance on Rotscale to turn his WAY TOO MUCH health into damage for him and healing for you. GJ with the build, IF i get friends that can do this buidl i might try it out.

Very nice.

Another thing that I just thought of for teams of more than three man, that I'm sure has been though of before...

What if the ranger brought the same nature rituals that the enemy uses (frozen soil, etc) as a R/Rt. Once allied version of spirit goes up, enemy version dies. Use Feast of souls to blow up all your own spirits and heal party?

Awesume, they may have taken their idea off of you. Nice build, and very original. Do you have a video of this farming run? To help out some of us I would like a video if you would. Non to mention i'd like to know how long the farm took.
